Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBA) is widely used in brominated epoxy resin, brominated polycarbonate, brominated phenolic resin, brominated unsaturated resin, etc.

As an additive flame retardant, Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBA) is used together with Antimony trioxide, and is widely used for flame retardancy of engineering plastics such as ABS, HIPS, PP, PBT, etc.

As a Reaction intermediate, Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBA) is used to synthesize Tetrabromobisphenol A bis (2,3-dibromopropyl) ether (octabromoether, OBDPO for short), an important flame retardant.

In addition, Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBA) is also used for flame retardant coatings and copper clad laminate.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Tetrabromobisphenol A is the brominated flame retardant with the largest production and consumption in the world. It is mainly a reactive Brominated flame retardant covalently combined with polymer structure. It is used in electronic and electrical products and is one of the main flame retardant products used in printed circuit board laminates. Compared with additive flame retardants, it is less likely to be released into the environment. Tetrabromobisphenol A is also used to produce circuit board polymers. Its two hydroxyl groups can react with Epichlorohydrin under alkaline conditions to form di Glycidol ether, which is widely used in epoxy resin formulations. Tetrabromobisphenol A is also used as a flame retardant in plastics, paper and textiles, and as a plasticizer in adhesives and coatings.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
